Arçelik Tumble Dryer 3887 KT Troubleshooting Methods

 

The drying process takes a long time.

1. The pores of the fiber filter may be clogged. >>> Wash the filter with warm water.
2. The filter drawer may be clogged. >>> Clean the sponge and filter cloth in the filter drawer.
3. The ventilation grilles on the front of the machine may be closed. >>> In front of the ventilation grilles
   remove any objects blocking ventilation.
4. Because the area where the machine is installed is too small, ventilation may be insufficient. >>> The room temperature is very open doors or windows to avoid rising.
5. A moisture scale may have formed on the moisture sensor. >>> Clean the moisture sensor.
6. Excessive laundry may have been loaded. >>> Do not overload the dryer.
   The laundry may not be sufficiently squeezed. >>> Spin the washing machine at a higher speed.

At the end of drying, the laundry comes out damp.

1. The program for the type of laundry may not have been used >>> Check the care labels on the laundry
2. Select a program that matches the type of laundry or use time schedules in addition.

4. The filter drawer may be clogged. >>> Clean the sponge and filter cloth in the filter drawer.
5. Excessive laundry may have been loaded. >>> Do not overload the dryer.

The dryer cannot be switched on or the program cannot be started. The dryer does not activate when set.

1. The power plug may not be inserted. >>> Make sure the power plug is connected.
2. The loading door may remain open. >>> Make sure that the tailgate is closed correctly.
3. The program may not be set or the Start / Pause / Cancel button may not have been pressed. >>> Make sure the program is set and not in Pause.
4. The child lock may be activated. >>> Deactivate the child lock.

The program was interrupted for no reason.

1. The loading door may not be fully closed. >>> Make sure that the tailgate is closed correctly.
2. There may have been a power outage. >>> Press the Start / Pause / Cancel button to start the program.
3. The water tank may be full. >>> Empty the water tank.

Laundry is shrunken, matted or broken.

1. The program for the type of laundry may not be used. >>> Check the care labels on the laundry
   Select a program that suits the type of laundry.

Water is leaking from the loading door.

1. Fiber may have accumulated on the inner surfaces of the loading door and on the surfaces of the loading door gasket. >>> Clean the inside surfaces of the tailgate and the surfaces of the tailgate gasket.

Tailgate opens automatically.

1. The loading door may not be fully closed. >>> Push the tailgate until it clicks.

Water tank warning symbol illuminates / flashes.

1. The water tank may be full. >>> Empty the water tank.
2. The water drain hose may be folded. >>> If the product is directly connected to the drain, check the water drain hose.

The lighting in the dryer does not come on. (With lamp models)

1. The dryer may not have been turned on with the On / Off switch. >>> The dryer is in the open position
   Check.
2. The lamp may be defective. >>> Contact the Authorized Service Agent for replacing the lamp.
   Finish / Anti-crease symbol is lit.
3. The Anti-Wrinkle program may have been activated to prevent creasing of the laundry remaining in the dryer. >>> Switch off the dryer and remove the laundry.

Last symbol on fire.

1. The program has been completed. Switch off the dryer and remove the laundry.

The fiber filter cleaning symbol is lit.

1. The fiber filter may not have been cleaned. >>> Clean the filter.

Filter cleaning warning symbol flashes.

1. The filter housing may be clogged with fiber. >>> Clean the filter housing.
2. A layer may be formed which will cause clogging of the fiber filter pores. >>> Wash the filter with warm water.
3. The filter drawer may be clogged. >>> Clean the sponge and filter cloth in the filter drawer.

Filter drawer cleaning warning symbol flashes.

1. The filter drawer may not have been cleaned. >>> Clean the sponge and filter cloth in the filter drawer.

The lighting in the dryer is on. (With lamp models)

1. If the dryer is plugged in, the On / Off button is pressed and the door is open, the light comes on. >>> Drying
   Unplug the machine or turn the On / Off switch to the off position.
